WGHA (Wordle Game Helper App) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our mobile application.

The simple answer: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

WGHA does not collect any personal information or data from its users. The app operates entirely on your device without requiring user accounts, registration, or any form of personal identification.

Data Storage

All data used by WGHA is stored locally on your device:

• Word Lists: The app includes a database of valid 5-letter words stored in the app bundle.
• User Preferences: Your letter selections and app state are stored locally using iOS UserDefaults and are never transmitted off your device.
• Cached Data: Updated word lists are cached locally for offline use.

This data remains on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Network Requests

WGHA makes a single, limited network request to maintain up-to-date word lists:

• Purpose: To download an updated list of previously-used Wordle answers
• Frequency: Once per day (maximum)
• Data Source: A JSON file hosted on GitHub (https://github.com/robertpowell/wgha-data)
• Data Transmitted: No personal information is sent in this request
• Data Received: A simple list of words (no user data, analytics, or tracking)

Third-Party Services

WGHA does not use any third-party services, including:

• No analytics services
• No advertising networks
• No crash reporting tools
• No social media integrations
• No user tracking or behavior monitoring

Permissions

WGHA only requires internet access to download updated word lists. The app does not request or use any other device permissions such as:

• Camera
• Microphone
• Location services
• Contacts
• Photos
• Calendar

Children's Privacy

WGHA is rated for ages 4+ and does not knowingly collect any information from children or adults. The app is designed to be completely privacy-safe for users of all ages.

Data Security

Since WGHA does not collect or transmit personal data, there is no user data at risk. All word filtering and processing happens locally on your device using standard iOS security practices.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

Your Rights
